Dr. William D. Witt, M.D.

Dr. Bill Witt lives in Manhattan, KS with his wife and business partner, Julie, and their three children. They moved to Manhattan in 2011 after he finished his medical training.
Dr. Witt was born and raised in Garden City, Kansas. He grew up loving the outdoors, building with his hands, and was very involved in 4-H. He received his Associates Degree from Garden City Community College where he ran cross-country and track. He then went on to Kansas State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. His next four years were spent at Northeastern State University College of Optometry. After practicing optometry for three years, Dr. Witt decided to broaden his scope of practice by returning to school.
In 2003, Dr. Witt began his medical studies at the University of Oklahoma. After graduation from medical school in 2007, he moved to Kansas City for a four year ophthalmology residency with Sabates Eye Center. After completing his residency in July of 2010, Dr. Witt went on to further his education with a fellowship year of specialized training to become a glaucoma specialist.
Dr. Julie M Witt, O.D.
Dr. Julie Witt currently works part-time at Witt Eye Centers and spends the rest of her time raising their three children, Henry, Eli, and Ellison.
Julie was born and raised in Scott City, Kansas. She spent her summers working on her father’s farm, running AAU track, and was a member of the Manning Jayhawkers 4-H club. Julie attended Pittsburg State University, where she loved competing in cross-country and track. She graduated in 1999, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
Julie received her optometry degree from Northeastern State University College of Optometry, where she met Bill. After they were married, she worked for the VA hospital both in Oklahoma City and Leavenworth while Bill finished his education. She is happy to be settled down in Manhattan and very excited to work with Bill, caring for the people in the Manhattan area.
